I would first like to say I am so overwhelmed and thankful for all your comments from my last post. It really is motivating to have all your support. I don't mind saying that once in a while I also need a kick in the you know what to keep me motivated.
I have been more focused than I have been in a while. There have been a few oops (damn you M&M's) but for the most part I can say a thumbs up. This morning I finally got back to my walking. I did 4 km. I will try to add some running in soon too. It just felt good to be moving again. My first official weigh in will be next Saturday and I will be down. I have not missed one weigh in all summer, but I did miss yesterday's. It was that time of year again for our annual tomato jarring. I have a few updated photos from this year. We didn't make as many jars as last year (only 75 this year), but next year we are planning to have a huge production!
One of the things I have to admit to in trying to lose the regained weight is the frustration or shame that goes with this. On Friday it cooled down quite a bit here. One thing I always get nervous with is the change of seasons because of the change of clothes. I tried on a pair of jeans from last year. Just as I suspected they were too tight. I could button and zip them up but talk about a major muffin top. Off to the store I went and bought a pair of cheap jeans to get me through this hump. I was not happy, but this is reality. The jeans I bought were size 16, and are not the most stylish but will do until I get into my old jeans. I wouldn't be honest if I just shared the weight loss triumphs and not the other side of the story.
My daughter and I ended up going to downtown Toronto Friday night. We were going to the Bridal Show, but made a little detour to go on King St. to see the action going on for Tiff (Toronto International Film Festival). As we were walking down the street we heard all sorts of screaming. Brad Pitt had just gone into the premiere of his new movie. The crowd was huge. We tried to see what was going on but we are both short and just ended up seeing the backs of peoples heads. It was fun though!
