That is how I have been feeling the past week. I am still checking out my fav bloggers and feel inspired everytime I read all the different posts. Even when someone else is having an off week, it is good to know that we all have our ups and downs. Maybe I just needed a little break from blogging, but I am back (thanks for the push "L" ;-). All through my life, I have tried to be a people pleaser. Even my dear hubby tells me to put myself first. You know, he is right again (shh..don't tell him). If I don't take care of myself first, how am I supposed to take care of others around me.
I have still been trying to exercise. It may be time to get my knees checked out again by the doctor and possibly my elbows. Over the week, I did the Jillian Michaels "Ripped in 30" DVD, went on the treadmill twice and attempted to walk outside. I didn't even try to run outside because of the weather conditions. I almost had a good wipeout, but managed to stop myself from falling. I can hardly wait until spring arrives. I think I became a little spoiled by the weather last winter. There was barely any snow and the temperature was mild.
My eating as been off the charts. Can you say B-I-N-G-E-I-N-G! This is one thing I definitely have to get under control N-O-W! Maybe counting the days that I am good will help, I don't know, but it is definitely one day at a time.
Good to be back, just wish it was a more uplifting post.
Sometimes, truthful is the best we can do. :D

It sometimes helps to simplify things. You may not be able to (or even want to) do some of the things you had previous planned, like running outdoors, but remember that you don't have to do them. Just stay active doing something or the other that you enjoy. :)
ReplyDeleteThe journey is always going to have ups and downs. As long as we have more ups then downs good things are going to happen.
ReplyDeleteIm stuck i a rut too!! BUT, you still walked and did Jillian!! Extra points for still moving!!!
ReplyDeleteI think it's that time of year... We need spring to get here to cheer us up and motivate us to get outside and be more active. You're still here...and that's what counts!
ReplyDeleteI agree that seeing Spring would be a great motivator! As of today, February is half over, though! Hang in there. :-)
ReplyDeleteWell, if you can't run, you can at least work on stopping the binging. Sometimes it isn't even a day at a time, it's one moment at a bite. Each bite at a time. One bite, one decision. Short term gratification followed by long term guilt, or delayed gratification, followed by long term self-pride? No one said it was easy, but it's so worth it, and I know you know it. I believe in you! (even though I've 'just met you'...I've read some of your background/history here, and I'm super impressed!)
ReplyDeleteThanks Gwen! Your words are just what I needed to hear right now. The journey is worth it and it definitely is not easy.
