Yesterday morning I woke up and decided to go outside for a run no matter how cold. I see others doing it so why can't I. I bundled myself up and headed out the door. I knew I would have to stick to the road, because the sidewalks were still pretty ice and snow covered. It was freezing cold at first but once I got going it wasn't too bad. I did have to cut my run short because of the icy conditions even on the side of the road, but I got out there and tried. I always run with my glasses on but had to take them off because they kept freezing up. I must have been tensing up more than usual because I really feel my muscles today in both my legs and arms.

I received a really cute message today:
Dear Goggy, my one year old Grandaughter who is just learning to speak a few words, still speaks in baby talk and enthusiastically repeats the words "Go Goggy Go" or Goggy Goggy Goggy go, to the amusement of all, so I googled and found Goggy Go is a real person.....amazing. You have a one year old fan in Scotland. Hope this makes your day LOL
Too cute and too funny! It really did make my day!
Thats so cute!!
ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet :)
ReplyDeleteI have to admit it's not my best look when I go out in bitter cold weather!
Are you in there?? :)
Hi Katrin! I remember running outside in the winter as a teenager in MN. I quit after my arm and leg skin swelled up in very sore ways. Perhaps, I was not wearing enough layers, though I think I had *many many* layers on.

You look prepared for the artic...with ear buds for music:)
ReplyDeleteGood for you to get out there! I admire your tenacity! I ran many icy and cold winters outdoors when we lived in the interior of BC and finally broke down and bought a treadmill. It was the slush and ice that finally did me in! I never liked treadmill running although I did watch lots of movies I would never otherwise have seen while running on it!
ReplyDeleteI love the little note you got. That is so aweseome that she would take the time to write to you. Love it!
Good for you!!! I always whimp out and stay inside on the treadmill!!
ReplyDeleteI brave the roads/sidewalks during snow and ice season when I'm able to run during daylight hours otherwise it's the treadmill for me. Dressing properly makes all the difference in the world!
ReplyDeleteGo Goggy Go!
Great effort running in the cold. It's not easy! That message is adorable:)
ReplyDeleteThat is really cute, you have a fan overseas :)
ReplyDeleteI only run outside no matter what the weather is like. Except when the roads are really icy, it's just to dangerous to run but other than that I love running outside.
What a cute message! Well done for going on that run :)
